Ahh the joy of finding fresh products as asparagus at the local market!! it allows me to taste vegetables and fruits that other wise We only know as canned good! I know sad! but most of the time I tell my self I am lucky to live in my all year round summer paradise! Fresh products like this only need some cleaning and simple seasoning to shine on the dinner plates! So as you can see, green asparagus tips, coarse salt (Guerande) and fresh black pepper from my mothers farm (30 minutes drive from Santo Domingo) and they are ready to go. In fact about my mother's black pepper, the first time we tasted it we realized that we have been having old flavorless pepper for years! with such an aroma! amazing. I know again, in the simple things.
