Sweet and Sour BBQ Spare Ribs

My Gran's pork spare ribs recipe. Sweet and tangy, fall off the bone good. Perfect for a cold winter night dinner.

Ingredients:
- 2 lb. pork spare ribs
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 2 onions, diced
- 3/4 cup(s) ketchup
- 1/4 cup(s) barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup(s) white vinegar
- 2 tbsp. dark brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard powder
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- salt
- pepper
Instructions:
- 1. Preheat oven to 250
- 2. In a bowl, whisk together ketchup, barbecue sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard powder, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
- 3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium high heat. Add ribs and brown on both sides. Place ribs, meat side down, in a 9×13 inch baking pan. Add diced onions to dish and cover with sauce.
- 4. Cover baking dish with tin foil and bake in the oven for 4 – 4 ½ hours until meat is tender and easily falls off the bone.
